The baggage price system applies to checked baggage on all international and regional routes of Air China.

1. China- Japan routes and routes to/ from America

Free checked baggage requirements for First Class and Business Class cabins
First Class or Business Class passengers with adult-fare or child-fare tickets are allowed up to two pieces of baggage free of charge, each weighing no more than 32kg and with total linear dimensions of each piece not exceeding 158cm.

Free checked baggage requirements for Economy Class cabin
Economy Class passengers with adult-fare or child-fare tickets are allowed up to two pieces of baggage free of charge, each weighing no more than 23kg and with total linear dimensions of each piece not exceeding 158cm.

The infant-fare ticket passenger is allowed one piece of baggage free of charge, but the total linear dimensions shall not exceed 115cm. In addition, a foldable baby stroller or bassinet may be checked in free of charge, or be carried in the cabin if there is room and with approval of the chief attendant.

Note: Aforesaid requirements also apply to all routes between Japan and various continents that transit through China and are fully operated by Air China.

 

2. Routes other than China- Japan routes and routes to/from America

Free checked baggage requirements for First Class and Business Class cabins
First Class or Business Class passengers with adult-fare or child-fare tickets are allowed up to two pieces of baggage free of charge, each weighing no more than 32kg and with total linear dimensions of each piece not exceeding 158cm.

Free Baggage Allowance for Premium Economy Class (available only for travel on Beijing – Singapore and Beijing – Delhi routes beginning on January 1, 2012)
Each Premium Economy Class passenger traveling with a valid adult ticket or child ticket can check in one piece of luggage free of charge. The weight must not exceed 32 kilograms and the maximum linear dimensions of each piece (length + width + height) must not exceed 158cm.

Free checked baggage requirements for Economy Class cabin
Economy Class passengers with adult-fare or child-fare tickets are allowed one pieces of baggage free of charge, weighing no more than 23kg and with total linear dimensions not exceeding 158cm.

Infant-fare ticket passengers are allowed one piece of baggage free of charge, with total linear dimensions not exceeding 115cm. In addition, a foldable baby stroller or bassinet may be checked-in free of charge, or carried in the cabin if there is room and with approval of the chief attendant.
An excess baggage charge shall be paid for baggage that fails to meet aforesaid quantity, weight or size requirements.
